The 3-Year Peace-of-Mind Warranty
Year 1: everything is covered. Years 2 and 3: The Engine i.e core electronics are covered, parts and labour free. Accidents are not covered by the free warranty; they are covered by the optional Care+ plan.
1. How to use this page
Thank you for choosing TQEQ. Your light is covered by the TQEQ 3-Year Peace-of-Mind Warranty, the longest free warranty offered by any professional lighting brand sold in India, where the standard is one year.
This page is the complete and binding statement of what your free warranty covers, for how long, and how to make a claim. It is written so you can read it once and know exactly where you stand. Please keep a copy together with your tax invoice. Where this page says “we,” “us,” or “TQEQ,” it means Akasiteq Vaanijware LLP, the company that makes and stands behind your light.
2. Definitions
The following words carry the meaning given below wherever they appear on this page.
| Product / Light | The TQEQ light head you purchased, the MUA Key Light or the Director Key Light, excluding accessories, except where an accessory is expressly named. |
| Original Purchaser | The individual or entity named on the original TQEQ tax invoice, who bought the Product new from TQEQ or a TQEQ-authorised seller. |
| Consumer | An individual professional, for example a makeup artist or photographer, who buys the Product for their own professional use. |
| Commercial Buyer | A studio, company, institution, or any buyer purchasing on a GST/company invoice, buying in bulk, or placing the unit into a rental fleet. See Clause 8. |
| Defect | A failure of the Product to work as intended, caused by faulty manufacturing, materials, or workmanship, not by accident, misuse, wear, or an outside cause. |
| Core Components | The LED/COB light module, the LED driver, the main circuit board, and the cooling fan. |
| Warranty Period | The applicable coverage window, measured from the end-customer invoice date (Clause 7). |
| DOA | Dead on arrival: a Product that fails or arrives damaged within 7 days of delivery (Clause 6). |
| Care+ | The separately purchased optional plan covering accidental damage, governed by its own terms. |
3. Your coverage — the three tiers
Your free warranty runs for three years and is structured in tiers. Year 1 is the broadest; Years 2 and 3 are identical to each other and focus on the components that actually fail with age. Labour is free in all three years.
| Period | What is covered | Parts | Labour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year 1 : Everything | Every part of the light head, all manufacturing and material defects, including housing, ports, switches, mount and internal wiring, and all core electronics. | Free | Free |
| Year 2 : Core | The Core Components: LED/COB module, driver, main board and cooling fan. | Free | Free |
| Year 3 : Core | Identical to Year 2, the same Core Components. | Free | Free |
Why Year 1 is broader. In Year 1 we cover even the parts that essentially never fail, a cracked housing, a failed switch. From Year 2 the cover narrows to the electronics that genuinely fail with age, so you are protected on what matters while we are not liable for cosmetic or structural issues on an older unit. This is the standard, fair structure for professional equipment. Parts not listed in the Core Components are chargeable at cost in Years 2 and 3, with no labour fee.
Repaired or replaced parts. We repair first and replace only when repair is not viable. Any repaired or replaced part is covered for the remainder of the original Warranty Period or 90 days, whichever is longer. A repair or replacement does not restart the three years.
4. What is covered, part by part
The tiers above apply to the light head. The full kit, including accessories, is covered as set out below. Every item is also covered for DOA for 7 days from delivery (Clause 6), whatever its tier.
Director Key Light

|---|---|---|

| Honeycomb grid | Excluded (consumable) | Soft good. |
| Light stand bracket | 1-year defect | Mechanical part. |
| Mini ball head | 1-year defect | Mechanical part. |
| Power cord + adapter | 1-year defect | Void if a non-TQEQ adapter is used. |
| Battery grip + USB-C (Pro add-on) | 6-month (grip electronics) | Battery capacity is not warranted, batteries degrade by design. |

5. The Brightness Promise
It won’t fade on you. Cheap lights dim as they age, a year in, your footage stops matching. TQEQ runs a constant-current driver and genuine high-output LEDs, so the output holds. If your light loses significant brightness within the 3-year Warranty Period, we treat it as a covered Defect, not wear and tear. We fix or replace it, free.
This is a real, measurable promise, not marketing language:
- Director Key Light: A covered brightness Defect is a measured reading 30% or more below this baseline at full power and rated colour temperature, after a 10-minute warm-up. .
- MUA Key Light: because the arms are flexible, brightness is measured per arm, with one arm straightened flat at the fixed distance stated in your product manual, at full power and rated colour temperature. A covered brightness Defect is any arm reading 30% or more below the published per-arm baseline, or an arm-to-arm spread greater than about 30%.
How we judge it fairly. On a brightness claim we re-measure on a live WhatsApp video call, with you watching the lux meter and the published threshold. The number decides, not a person. We rule in your favour on borderline readings. You will never have to argue brightness, the published spec and the meter are the referee.
The Brightness Promise applies for all three years for Consumers. It does not apply to Commercial Buyers (Clause 8).
6. Dead on arrival & transit damage (first 7 days)
If your Product arrives damaged, or fails within 7 days of delivery, it is treated as DOA and is handled under our Returns & Refund policy, not as an ordinary repair.
- You must report it within 7 days of delivery.
- You must provide a continuous, unedited unboxing video that shows the sealed package being opened and the fault. This is mandatory and is the single most important piece of evidence, please film every delivery.
- For a valid DOA claim, TQEQ pays freight both ways. This is the one exception to our normal shipping rule (Clause 9).
- We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion once the claim is verified.
7. Registration, eligibility & when the clock starts
- Year 1 is automatic on proof of purchase, no registration needed.
- Years 2 and 3 require free registration within 30 days of delivery. Register your order number and serial number at tqeq.in/register or on WhatsApp. If you do not register within 30 days, your cover defaults to 12 months from the date of dispatch.
- Original Purchaser only. The free warranty is non-transferable and stays with the Original Purchaser named on the invoice. Care+, the optional paid plan, is also non-transferable.
- India only. Coverage is valid within India.
- When the clock starts. The Warranty Period is measured from the end-customer invoice date, the date you bought the light, not the date a distributor bought stock.
- Proof of purchase is a condition. A valid TQEQ tax invoice must be produced for any claim. Without it, service is chargeable.
8. Commercial buyers
The three-year tiered warranty and the Brightness Promise are designed for individual professionals. Commercial Buyers are covered differently, and this is stated at the point of sale.
- Commercial Buyers receive 1 year, defect only. No Year 2–3 tiers and no Brightness Promise.
- A Commercial Buyer is a studio, company, or institution buying on a GST/company invoice, a bulk or institutional purchase, or any unit placed into a rental fleet.
This mirrors standard industry practice and reflects the heavier, shared-use conditions commercial units face.
9. Who pays for shipping
The rule, plainly. For any warranty claim (except DOA), you pay to send the light to us, one-way inbound freight. We pay to send it back to you. Where we can, we may waive your inbound cost at the time of the claim, but this is a goodwill gesture, not an entitlement.
| Situation | Inbound (to TQEQ) | Return (to you) |
|---|---|---|
| DOA / transit damage (first 7 days, with unboxing video) | TQEQ pays | TQEQ pays |
| Any warranty repair (Years 1–3) | You pay* | TQEQ pays |
*We may waive your inbound cost where feasible at the time. A waiver on one occasion does not create a right to a waiver on any future occasion.
Distributor drop-off. If you bought from a TQEQ distributor, you may instead take the light to their shop (getting it there is your responsibility). They inspect it, and if it is covered they hand it to TQEQ on the next scheduled pickup. From the distributor’s shop onward, TQEQ handles all freight.
10. What is included
- All manufacturing and material Defects, per the tier that applies (Clause 3).
- Parts and labour, free, per the applicable tier.
- The Brightness Promise for all three years (Consumers only).
- Both-way freight on a valid DOA / transit claim (Clause 6).
- Repair-first service, with a service goal of 10 working days from the date we receive the unit.
11. What is not covered (exclusions)
The free warranty does not cover the following. Some of these are covered by the optional Care+ plan, where so, it is noted.
- Physical / impact damage : drops, falls, crushed arms, cracked housings. (Covered by Care+.)
- Liquid ingress : rain, humidity, spills. (Not covered even by Care+.)
- General wear and tear : the gradual ageing of any part through normal use.
- Cosmetic wear : scuffs, scratches, finish fading, yellowing, discoloration.
- Burn or electrical damage caused by a non-TQEQ adapter or an incorrect power supply.
- Damage from unauthorised opening or third-party repair.
- Consumables and soft goods : carry bag, diffusion cloth / panel, honeycomb grid, stand feet.
- Battery capacity degradation over time (this is normal and by design).
- Loss or theft.
- Commercial rental use : units placed in a rental fleet are outside the consumer warranty (see Clause 8).
- Force majeure, accident, or any cause not attributable to the Product.
- Use outside the Product’s intended purpose or documented operating conditions.
- Connectivity issues caused by your own phone, operating system, or a third-party app (for app-controlled features).
12. What voids the warranty
The following void the warranty in full:
- The unit is opened or repaired by anyone other than TQEQ or a TQEQ-authorised technician.
- The serial number is removed, altered, or made illegible.
- A non-TQEQ adapter is used and causes electrical damage (this voids the electrical claim).
- No valid invoice can be produced (the claim then becomes chargeable service).
- The unit is modified to change its function or output.
- A claim is misrepresented, for example, presenting accidental or liquid damage as a Defect.
13. How to make a claim
- Contact TQEQ support first on WhatsApp. Remote diagnosis is mandatory before anything is shipped.
- We confirm whether your issue is covered, usually within 1 working day.
- If covered, you send the light to us (you pay inbound; we may waive where feasible), and we pay the return. For a DOA claim, we pay both ways.
- We repair first; our service goal is 10 working days from receipt.
- The repaired or replaced part is covered for the remainder of the period or 90 days, whichever is longer.
14. Legal terms
14.1 Your sole remedy
For any Defect covered by this warranty, your sole and exclusive remedy, and TQEQ’s entire obligation, is, at TQEQ’s reasonable discretion, to repair the Product, replace the affected part or the Product, or, where neither is viable, to refund an amount not exceeding the price you paid for the Product.
14.2 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TQEQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including loss of income, loss of a booking or shoot, loss of data, hire of substitute equipment, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or connected with the Product or this warranty, even if advised of the possibility of such loss. TQEQ’s total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Product shall not exceed the price actually paid by the Original Purchaser for that Product.
14.3 No other warranties
Except for the express warranty set out on this page, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, TQEQ makes no other warranties, express or implied, in relation to the Product.
14.4 Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page limits, excludes, or overrides any right you have that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. This warranty is in addition to those rights, not a substitute for them.
14.5 Time limit for claims
A Defect must be reported to TQEQ promptly, and in any case within the applicable Warranty Period and within a reasonable time (no later than 30 days) after you first discover, or reasonably ought to have discovered, the Defect. Claims reported after the Warranty Period ends are not covered.
14.6 Waiver
Any concession, waiver, or goodwill gesture by TQEQ — for example, waiving your inbound freight or accepting a borderline brightness reading — applies only to that specific instance. It does not vary these terms and creates no right to the same treatment on any future occasion.
14.7 Force majeure
TQEQ is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disaster, fire, flood, epidemic, strike, transport or courier disruption, failure of utilities, or governmental action.
14.8 Assignment & transfer
The free warranty is personal to the Original Purchaser and may not be assigned or transferred. The optional Care+ plan is likewise non-transferable.
14.9 Amendment & applicable version
TQEQ may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your Product is the version in force on the date of your purchase. The current version is always published at tqeq.in/warranty.
14.10 Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of this warranty is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. This page, together with your invoice and the applicable TQEQ policies referenced in it, is the entire agreement between you and TQEQ regarding the warranty and supersedes any prior statement, representation, or oral assurance.
14.11 Governing law & jurisdiction
This warranty is governed by the laws of India. Subject to Clause 14.12, the courts at Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with it.
14.12 Dispute resolution
The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally through TQEQ support. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by TQEQ in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Delhi and the language shall be English. This clause does not affect any right you have to approach a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Care+ : the optional accidental damage plan
Care+ covers the one thing the free warranty cannot: the accident. The drop. The tipped stand. The fall from the vanity van. Care+ sits on top of your free 3-Year Peace-of-Mind Warranty, it does not replace it. Your warranty still covers manufacturing Defects exactly as described above.
- Care+ 1-Year : ₹999 (GST inclusive). One accidental repair during Year 1, plus priority turnaround.
- Parts cap per incident: ₹3,000 on the MUA Key Light, ₹3,500 on the Director Key Light. Labour is included. If repair parts exceed the cap, you pay only the difference, at our cost.
- No-questions first claim. We do not interrogate how the accident happened.
- Must be bought within 30 days of delivery. Care+ is never available retroactively and cannot be bought to cover damage that has already occurred.
- Not covered by Care+ : liquid ingress, fire, theft, loss, deliberate damage, accessories, a second accidental incident, and any unit already opened by a third party.
Care+ is governed by its own terms. Read the full Care+ plan terms at tqeq.in/care-plus.
